Admission Requirements for Transfers
For students who have completed at least 8 semester (or 12 quarter) units of transferable college credits with a cumulative GPA of 2.00*
- Complete the La Sierra Application.
- Submit official high school transcripts.
Not required for students who have been awarded an Associate’s or higher degree from an accredited institution, or who transfer with more than 57 semester (or 88 quarter) units of transferable college credit. Submit official college transcripts.
This includes transcripts for all colleges/universities, trade schools, or beauty schools ever attended where you received college credit.
* If you have less than 8 semester (or 12 quarter) college credits you can still apply as a new freshman. New freshman admission requirements can be found here.
- Choose a California Community College and AA-T or AS-T program.
- Apply to a California Community College and meet with a transfer counselor.
- Contact La Sierra’s Pre-Transfer Adviser.
- Complete and submit your FAFSA for the school year that you’re planning to attend La Sierra University.
- Apply to La Sierra University during your last term at community college.
- Be a current high school senior or attend a California community college in good standing.
- Apply to La Sierra University.
- Complete the Guided Pathways Application.
- Commit to completing the community college coursework of the guided pathway for an intended major within 3 years.
- Maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA, with all STEM courses at a C or higher.
- Intend to transfer to La Sierra University at the completion of the guided pathway.
- Communicate with Guided Pathways to Success Advisor any changes in academic status.
- Submit final community college transcripts by July 1 of the year starting at La Sierra.
- Meet La Sierra University’s admission standards before registering for La Sierra classes.
