We have a variety of academic resources that are designed to help you succeed in your college career. From counselors to clubs, you can find everything you need to enrich your experience. 

Honors Program

The Honors program at La Sierra University is open to undergrad students who show outstanding intellectual and creative abilities. This small learning community is designed to provide a stimulating and supportive environment, where students receive a quality education complete with enriching activities and a free international study tour. Honors classes aren't harder—they're different, created for particularly motivated and capable scholars. Office of Academic & Career Services

Known around campus as OACS, this office specializes in providing you with academic advising and support services. Each counselor empowers students to acheive their educational goals, while thinking ahead in terms of career opportunities. The integration of career planning with mentoring for the here and now creates a unique resource for all students regardless of class standing. Some OACS services include First-Year experience and 4U College Management.

Library

Our library is one of the most valuable assets to students on campus. With thousands of books at your fingertips, and millions more available online and through Link+, you have everything at your disposal to help with homework, research, and more. Students can make use of the computer and printing services, get help from reference librarians for class projects or assignments, or just find a quiet place to work. The library also features a large garden atrium, comfortable chairs and couches, and group or indivudal study rooms.

Tutoring and Support

La Sierra students have access to tutoring and support labs across campus, from the Writing Center to the Collaborative Learning Center (CLC). Services offered include study hall, embedded tutoring (or supplemental instruction), 1-on-1 appointments, group appointments, walk-ins, and open labs. No matter what area you need help with, our learning assistants and tutors are available to coach and support you.

Academic Clubs and Honor Societies

In addition to special interest and cultural clubs, La Sierra University is home to various academic clubs and honor societies. These organizations provides student members with opportunities for research and fellowship with other scholars. In many cases they are able to present their research projecst at national conventions, representing their La Sierra chapter and gaining experience in their field. Our current honor societies include:
