Program in Philosophical Studies
A Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophical Studies prepares students for a variety of occupations that value such skills as critical thinking, reasoning, and written and oral communication. Students who complete this degree are prepared to pursue entry-level careers in government, politics, church, and community work. It is also an excellent foundation for graduate-level studies in areas such as law, health, business, education, and seminary.
Programs Offered
Individual majors can readily integrate philosophical studies with one or more other academic disciplines such as religion, intellectual history, the natural sciences, and the human sciences. Suggested programs are listed below. These majors require a minimum of 60 quarter units, including 20 units of courses in philosophical studies.
