Career Outlook
While this program is designed for students that wish to pursue further study, it also gives you the opportunity to enter employment at the associates level, for instance as an Health Information Technician. Employment of health information technicians is projected to grow 13 percent from 2016 to 2026, faster than the average for all occupations. The demand for health services is expected to increase as the population ages. The median annual wage for medical records and health information technicians was $38,900 in May 2017.
